18 Year Old Dies From Gun Shot Wound that Allegedly Happened Off Mangum Road, LIVINGSTON, January 29, 2019 - Sheriff Kenneth Hammack reports around 1:00 PM on Saturday January 26, 2019, Deputies along with the assistance of Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers responded to Chi St Luke’s Hospital concerning a victim of a single gunshot wound transported to the ER by personal vehicle.
  
Sheriff’s Office Detectives responded to the ER as well as the location of the shooting at a residence off Mangum Rd. Detectives discovered that 18 year old Oscar Flores-Ruiz had sustained a single gunshot wound to the head, life flight transported Mr. Flores to Herman Memorial Hospital in Houston where the following day Mr. Flores succumbed due to his wounds. An autopsy was conducted by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office on January 28, 2019 with Detectives notified of their findings.
  
Sheriff Hammack reports Detectives have conducted interviews with several witnesses, recovered evidence and processed the scene where the shooting occurred transporting evidence items to the Medical Examiner’s Office to assist in the death investigation.
