Deputies Discover Meth Making Family, Mother and Son Arrested, Father Still at Large, BIG THICKET LAKE ESTATES, January 16, 2013 - On January 12, 2013, Narcotics Detectives, Christopher Lima and Vance Berry with the Polk County Sheriffs Office arrived at a residence in the Big Thicket Lake Estates Subdivision to attempt to serve outstanding felony warrants on Marshall Shane Lovell. Upon arrival to the residence, detectives made contact with Marshall's wife, Tina Lovell. Lima and Berry entered the residence in attempt to locate Marshall, but he was not located in the home.
Narcotics in Plain View...
While inside residence the detectives observed narcotics in plain few. At that time, the residence was immediately secured and a search warrant was obtained and presented to Judge Darrell Longino, who signed the search warrant. During execution of the search warrant, detectives located five, one pot meth labs, and cocaine inside the residence.
Mother and Son Arrested...
Tina Lovell, 39, of Rye, and her son Marshall Lee Lovell, 20, of Big Thickett were arrested at the scene. Both were both charged with manufacturing a controlled substance, equal to or greater than 400 grams, and possessing certain chemicals to manufacture a controlled substance, both of which are felony offenses.
