Shooting, 1 Deceased, 2 Others Shot, ONALASKA, January 3, 2024 - At approximately 11:25 PM, on January 2, 2024, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office received calls in reference to a shooting at a residence in the Kickapoo Marina Subdivision of Polk County.  Deputies and Detectives with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office quickly responded to the location, with assistance from the Onalaska Police Department.  

Once onscene, Deputies located one deceased male subject and two other male subjects suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.  The two subjects were life-flighted, due to their injuries.

The Texas Rangers Office and the Polk County District Attorney’s Office responded to the scene to provide additional assistance to the Sheriff’s Office.  

Detectives are still currently working this investigation and there is no immediate danger to the public or residents of the area.
