Sheriff's Office Arrests Three Teen Suspects for Burglaries in Corrigan Area, CORRIGAN, January 4, 2014 - During the past several weeks the Polk County Sheriff’s Office has investigated at least six habitation burglaries in the Union Springs area of Corrigan. The stolen property included DVD’s, fishing gear, PS3 and X-Box game machines, jewelry, and money.
With the assistance of citizens in the area Deputy Dustin Lowery was able to develop some possible suspects. Deputy Lowery passed this information to the Criminal Investigation Division. On the morning of January 2, 2014 Detectives followed up on this information and were able to arrest three suspects and recover several hundred dollars worth of stolen property.
Arrested and charged with Burglary of a Habitation are Thomas Glenn Dorris II, 18 of Corrigan, Tx., Taylor Wayne Whiddon, 17, of Corrigan, Tx., and Zachary Norman Simons, 18, of Cleveland, Tx. Detectives with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office continue to investigate the string of burglaries and expect to make more arrests.
