Lee David Strole, 39, of Livingston

Female Allegedly Shot by Livingston Man, LIVINGSTON, October 17, 2025 - On October 15, 2025, deputies and detectives from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from multiple law enforcement agencies, responded to reports of a shooting at a residence located on Willson Road in Polk County.

Upon arrival, law enforcement personnel secured the scene and quickly identified the suspect as Lee David Strole, 39, of Livingston. Following an extensive search of the surrounding area, Strole was located in a wooded area near Parrish Road and taken into custody without further incident.

The victim was transported by Life Flight to an out-of-county hospital with life-threatening injuries.

At this time, the Sheriff’s Office assures the public that this was an isolated incident and there is no ongoing threat to the community.

Sheriff Lyons extends his sincere appreciation to the numerous agencies that provided assistance, including the Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas Parks and Wildlife Game Wardens, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Texas Rangers, Livingston Police Department, Precinct 2 Constable’s Office, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). Many others also assisted in this operation, and we are truly grateful for their support and cooperation.

This investigation remains active, and no further details are being released at this time. Updates will be provided as appropriate.
