Details Scant on Keith Street Shooting, LIVINGSTON, August 19, 2025 - The Polk County Sheriff's Office released the following information regarding the shooting that occurred on Keith Street (off Mangum Road near FM-350 South).  At this time, the Sheriff's Office will not release the suspect's name.  The following is a press release from the Polk County Sheriff's Office...

On August 16, 2025, deputies from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Texas Department of Public Safety, responded to reports of a shooting on Keith Street.


Upon arrival, law enforcement secured the scene and immediately identified the suspect. The suspect was taken into custody without further incident.

The victim was initially transported to CHI St. Luke’s Health–Memorial Hospital in Livingston and subsequently airlifted to HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe. The victim received treatment and was released with non-life-threatening injuries.

At this time, the Sheriff’s Office would like the public to know that this incident was isolated and there is no ongoing threat to public safety.

The investigation is ongoing, and once completed, the investigation will be submitted to the District Attorney’s Office for prosecutorial review. No further details are available at this time. Updates will be provided as appropriate.
