Sheriff Hammack Gives Recognition to His Best in Annual Awards, LIVINGSTON, February 11, 2010 - Polk County Sheriff, Ken Hammack presented awards for Detective of the Year, Supervisor of the Year, Deputy of the Year and Dispatcher of the Year.
The office staff as well as the Deputies, Detectives and Dispatchers vote for who they believed stood out the most in the job performance each person put forth in 2009.
• Detective of the Year - Sergeant Howard Smith
• Supervisor of the Year - Sergeant Rob Thomas
• Deputy of the Year - Deputy Glen Edwards
• Dispatcher of the Year - Tammy Babbs
The Polk County Sheriff's Office strives to encourage growth with the employees and encourage employees to go above and beyond their regular duty which contributes to a better staff of employees and better job performance for the Sheriff's Office.
The yearly awards are given by Sheriff Hammack as encouragement for employees to want to do a better job as well as rewarding employees who have stepped up and taken the challenge to better themselves and work harder for the Sheriff's Office as well as the citizens of Polk County.
