Another One of Polk County Crime Stoppers Top 8 Most Wanted Apprehended, LIVINGSTON, June 9, 2008 - The Polk County District Attorney's office has found the whereabouts, that lead to the apprehension of one of Polk County Crime Stoppers Top 8 Most Wanted Fugitives.  The following is a statement from Polk County Criminal District Attorney, William Lee Hon:

The Polk County District Attorney’s Office has discovered the location of another Polk County Crime Stoppers Most Wanted fugitive.Thomas Sampson Jr. is accused of Sexually Assaulting a Child in October of 2003 and was indicted by a Polk County Grand Jury in April of 2004. In January 2008 Thomas Sampson, Jr. was featured on a Polk County Crime Stoppers Most Wanted Poster along with his co-defendant Latisha Mae Thebeau. Thebeau has since been arrested on her charge of Sexual Assault of a Child. In the month of May, 2008, Polk County Sheriff’s Detective Raymond Lofton received information that Thomas Sampson, Jr. a wanted fugitive of Polk County, TX for Sexual Assault of a Child was working at a Wal-Mart in the I-45 area near Conroe, TX.On June 4, 2008, the Polk County District Attorney Investigators were able to determine that Thomas Ray Sampson, Jr. was employed at a Wal-Mart in The Woodlands, TX. After speaking with Wal-Mart management it was determined that Thomas Sampson, Jr. was currently on staff and working that date.Contact was made with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office where Deputy Sgt. Fitzgerald along with five other Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputies were able to locate Thomas Sampson, Jr. and take him into custody without incident.
