Rowdy Rodney Gets a Brand New Tatoo Live on the Radio, LIVINGSTON, May 16, 2010 - It's Saturday night and it's the Rowdy Rodney Rock 'n Roll Show on Classic Hits 92.3 The Eagle.  Inspired by PolkCountyToday.com Editor Willie Openshaw's on the air head shaving, Rowdy Rodney decided to get a tatoo live on the air during his show on May 15, 2010.  "I've got other tatoos, but they all tell something about me", Rowdy Says.  "This one (steer skull) shows that I'm a Texan.  This one (Indian Chief) is symbolic of my Indian Heritage.  My great grandfather was an Indian Chief.  This one (bald eagle) means I'm an American".  Rowdy doesn't mind going a little over the top live on the air, as long as it means something important to him.  "This tatoo will have my daughters' names,(Megan and Michaela) they'll always be my babies", Rodney says while simultaneously kicking out Ozzy Osbourne tunes and hosting his live radio show.  Rowdy tends to be a little extreme in life, long hair, long beard, double pierced ear, tatoos, and a 52 ounce plastic traveling mug that he keeps on hand while on the air.  "I like the zero calorie cola" (that's one extreme), "But if things get really busy in life and I need a little extra kick, I'll have a red Monster drink"  he says (the other extreme).  "Turn it up and tear the knob off!" he says to his radio audience during a break, "Keep it loud and keep it proud, right here on Classic Hits 92.3, Da Eagle!".  Rowdy recently joined a biker church in Point Blank and is a born again Christian who enjoys the harder side of classic rock.  On a typical Saturday night show (airs from 7 pm - Midnight), you'll hear AC/DC, Van Halen, Ozzy Osbourne, and even some newer current stuff (all with heavy guitar and many with screaming vocals).  Rusty is the tatoo artist in studio and is a Christian tatoo artist who enjoys his work and is the owner of Broken Souls Tatoos in Point Blank.  In addition to doing tatoos, he's also an ordained minister at the Biker Church.  "I spent half my life living against Jesus, now I'm gonna spend the next half of my life working for Jesus", he says during a short break, "I will do tatoos, but nothing satanic".  Rowdy Rodney (aka, The East Texas Wild Man) attends church regularly with his family, and is an outdoor enthusiast.  He's a firm believer in his Second Amendment right to bear arms, and is a hunting and fishing fanatic.  Rowdy Rodney is cut from a very similar cloth as Ted Nugent, he loves nature, loves the outdoors, and loves to rock hard.  "My faith, my family, hunting and rock 'n roll in that order" he says.
