19 Year Old Lady Rolls SUV South of Leggett, NEW WILLARD, February 6, 2008 - According to witnesses at the scene, at 7:15 pm, on February 6, 2008, a 19 year old lady rolled her vehicle in New Willard. Alyssa McCourt, 19, of Houston was South Bound on US 59 when she lost control of her late model Ford Explorer and went through the grassy median and into the Northbound side of 59 where her vehicle rolled one time, narrowly missing north bound vehicle. An ambulance from Americare Ambulance Service was summoned to the accident. The vehicle was no longer driveable and McCourt was loaded into the ambulance, and treated inside the ambulance. Livingston Volunteer Fire Department was on the scene and DPS Trooper, Glen Goodwin. A rollback wrecker from Ken's Towing arrived to pick up the late model Explorer. According to Trooper Goodwin, McCourt was not issued a citation as the cause of the accident is still under investigation. It is not known if McCourt was wearing her seatbelt. McCourt did have insurance.
