Crime Scene tape was in place at the Old House Beer Store off US-190 West in Onalaska on Monday night (11/02/15) after the business was robbed.
Theft at Onalaska Beer Store, ONALASKA, November 3, 2015 - At approximately 8:30 pm on November 2, 2015, a theft was reported from The Old House Beer Store in Onalaska. According to the clerk, she had stepped to the back of the store briefly when a man came in, went behind the counter and took a money box that contained an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect the fled the store and reportedly ran down Old Groveton Road. Officers from Onalaska Police Department were dispatched as well as Deputies from the Polk County Sheriff's Office. No weapons were used in the robbery and nobody was injured. The suspect has been described as a white male between 5' 6" and 5' 9" tall with a skinny build and about 165 lbs, wearing a black hoodie with white letters. The suspect was filmed on security cameras inside the stor, but his face was covered. At time of press, the suspect remains at large but a manhunt is on in Onalaska. The robbery remains under investigation by the Onalaska Police Department.
