Speedy Investigation Leads to Arrest of 2 Violent Youngsters, LIVINGSTON, August 5, 2009 - On July 22, 2009, the Polk County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call in reference to an aggravated robbery in the Indian Springs Subdivision of East Polk County. The caller reported that two white males entered a residence by force, holding the occupants at gun point while demanding money. The suspects physically assaulted the victims then left with a large amount of money taken from the residence.
Nine Days Later... On July 31, 2009, the Criminal Investigations Division of the Polk County Sheriff's Office received information leading to the arrest Derek Edward Jackson, 18, of Livingston and Bryan Scott Brandon, 20, also of Livingston. During the investigation the weapon and the victims' wallet were recovered along with an undisclosed amount of cash. Both suspects are currently charged with aggravated robbery and are in the Polk County Jail under a $100,000 bond each.
