Felony Robbery Below 59 Overpass, LIVINGSTON, May 17, 2008 - A 17 year old teen was robbed under the Highway 59 overpass in Livingston as he was walking home from Wal-Mart. Shortly before 1 am on May 17, 2008, Brian Thomas, 17, of Livingston was walking home from Wal-Mart. As he walked under the Highway 59 overpass, he stated to Livingston Police that a white male and a black male (both on bikes) drove up and jumped him, beat him up, took $200 from him and left back in the direction of Wal-Mart. Thomas managed to make it to nearby Whataburger seeking help where he spotted Livingston Police Sergeant Scott Paske. Thomas told Paske what happened and they immediately went to Wal-Mart parking lot in search of the robbery suspects. They discovered a person of interest and questioned him. Officers Kurt Riley and Rob Atkins also arrived to investigate and assist . A short time later Polk County Sheriff's Deputy Perry Alexander arrived to lend assistance. Thomas said he identified one of the suspects (the white male) as David Lewis Parker of Livingston. Thomas' aunt was notified and arrived at Wal-Mart to drive him to the Livingston Police Department so that he could file a report of the crime.
