Students and friends gathered in the Livingston High School parking lot on October 13, 2012 to remember their fallen friend, 16 year old Rhett Lathan of Livingston. Lathan's life was tragically taken early in an incident that occurred the previous day that remains under investigation. The sudents and friends gathered around Lathan's silver Dodge Pickup and placed flowers and signed posters on Lathan's pickup. The people gathered in a circle and prayed and were led by Scenic Loop Fireman, Doc Akery.
