Corrigan Man Charged With Sexually Assaulting 12 Year Old Girl, LIVINGSTON, October 27, 2015 - Polk County Sheriff's Deputies have arrested 34 year old Corrigan man on Monday (October 26, 2015) and charged him with aggravated sexual assault of a child. The alleged molestation of the girl (now 12) took place multiple times over a three year span.
Walter Earl Howell, Jr. was arrested on Monday and booked into Polk County jail. His bail has been set at $100,000.
The victim first told Polk County Sheriff's Deputies of the molestation on October 4th. The girl told investigators that Howell had molested her multiple times in three years. She further stated that the last time was on September 26th of this year. The girl reiterated the September 26th molestation in a forensics interview.
Howell told the girls mother that he had been having sex with her daughter only two days before her outcry.
An exam at CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital revealed damage consistent with sexual assault.
In 2014, Howell was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance.
