Pursuit That Started in Livingston Ends in Seven Oaks, SEVEN OAKS, December 7, 2017 - At approximately 3:20 am on December 7, 2017, a white 2000 Ford Expedition, driven by Randall Cain Gregory, 34, of New Waverly, was north-bound on US-59 in the south-bound lanes of traffic. Officer Tito Reyes with Livingston Police Department attempted to initiate a traffic stop on the vehicle. Gregory opted to evade. Additionally, Gregory's driving was reckless as he was swerving all over the road. The pursuit continued north on 59 in the south-bound lanes. As the pursuit continued north, Sergeant Byron Dunaway with the Polk County Sheriff's Office set up spikes and successfully spiked Gregory's tires in South Seven Oaks. All four tires were spiked and quickly went flat. Gregory pulled into the parking lot of Dickey's in Downtown Seven Oaks. Gregory exited his vehicle and attempted to flee on foot. Officer Reyes tazed Gregory. Gregory pulled out the tazer prongs and kept going. Reyes and Corporal Jason Burleson pursued Gregory. Burleson caught him and pulled him to the ground. Reyes cuffed Gregory's hands and feet. Officer Kaleb Barker arrived on the scene to assist. Gregory's behavior was erratic and incoherent. EMS personnel from Allegiance Ambulance Service were summoned to examine where Gregory was tazed (standard procedure for a tazed suspect). Randall Gregory is facing multiple charges. Gregory's vehicle was recovered by Fawbush Wrecker Service and will be stored in Goodrich.
