Suspects Names Released from Corrigan Police Chase, LIVINGSTON, July 17, 2022 - The names of the two men who were arrested yesterday following a police chase that started in Corrigan Texas have been released. Cody Isaiah Mason, 19, of Rosharon and Andre Dewayne Williams, 17, of Houston were both charged with evading arrest or detention in a vehicle and engaging in organized criminal activity. There was a third suspect, but he's a minor (16 years old) and we'll publish neither his name, nor his picture. Both men fled from Corrigan Police yesterday morning (07/16/22) after they were pulled over for speeding. The pursuit proceeded on US-59 South and ended when the suspects' car blew a tire. The car pulled onto Loop 116 and came to a stop. The suspects fled on foot and were both caught by police in seconds. This incident remains under investigation by the Corrigan Police Department.

Corrigan Police Pursuit, 3 Suspects in Custody, NEW WILLARD, July 16, 2022 - At approximately 9:30 am on July 16, 2022, Officer Bobby Goynes, with the Corrigan Police Department stopped a south-bound gray 2015 Mercedes Benz S550 on US-59 for speeding (85 mph in a 55). Goynes had the driver exit the vehicle. During this time, Officer Michael McDuffie (also with Corrigan PD) arrived to assist Officer Goynes. While Goynes was questioning the driver, one of the two passengers jumped into the driver's seat and took off. Officer McDuffie gave chase, Goynes loaded the suspect into his unit, and pursuit was established. The pursuit exceed 100 miles per hour. During the pursuit, Deputies with the Polk County Sheriff's Office and State Troopers Johnny Wilkerson and Kevin Burman all joined in the effort to stop the fleeing vehicle. As the vehicle was approaching the south end of Loop 116, by a stroke of luck for the police, the suspect vehicle blew a rear tire. The vehicle turned onto Loop 116 as the police followed. The vehicle finally stopped on Loop 116. The two remaining suspects jumped out and fled on foot, only to be caught by Officer Goynes, Officer McDuffie, and Trooper Johnny Wilkerson. At time of press, we do not yet have the names of the suspects. During a vehicle search, police found a zip lock back with marijuana, a container with concentrated THC, and the trunk was full of catalytic converters that were allegedly stolen out of Lufkin. The suspects' ages are 19, 17, and 16 years of age.

This gray 2015 Mercedes Benz was stopped for speeding in Corrigan (85 in a 55). One of the suspects in the vehicle took off after being stopped and a pursuit was on.
The trunk of the car was filled with catalytic converters that were allegedly stolen out of Lufkin.
A zip lock bag containing marijuana and a small container cotaining what is believed to be concentrated THC were also found in the suspect vehicle.

During the pursuit, the suspect vehicle had a blow out (passenger's side rear tire). The blow out ultimately forced the fleeing suspects to stop on Loop 116 where they fled on foot, but were quickly apprehended.
