Pursuit Started in Montgomery County Ends Just North of Livingston, LIVINGSTON, May 23, 2023 - Shortly after 3 am on May 23, 2023, a Constable in Montgomery County attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a silver 2021 Toyota Camry. The driver decided to evade. A pursuit began on US-59 (north-bound) and reached over 130 miles per hour. The pursuit quickly made it's way into Polk County with other Montgomery County constables joining in. The Polk County Sheriff's Office and Livingston Police also assisted. The suspect passenger side tires were both successfully spiked by Sergeant Tito Reyes with the Livingston Police Department and the pursuit came to an end. The driver, 25 year old Jabreel Castleberry, of Houston, was taken into custody by Montgomery County Constables without further incident. Approximately one ounce of marijuana in a zip lock bag and an undisclosed amount of cash was found in the vehicle along with two cell phones. Castleberry was taken back to Montgomery County where he will be charged.

As per protocol, a vehicle inventory was conducted and turned up 2 cell phones, about an ounce of marijuana, and an undisclosed amount of cash.
