Deidre Harvick's 2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse on the shoulder of the road in Seven Oaks, Texas.
Speeding Illinois Motorists Busted for Possession of Marijuana, SEVEN OAKS, March 10, 2011 - At approximately 1:30 pm on March 10, 2011, Trooper Kevin Burman with the Texas Highway Patrol spotted a speeding car in Seven Oaks.  Trooper Burman pulled the car over next to a rest area in Seven Oaks.  Burman questioned the driver of the 2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse (Deidre Harvick, 25, of Crescent City, Illinois).  As Burman was speaking with Harvick, he smelled the scent of marijuana.  Minutes later, Burman was joined by Corporal Sam Lattner.  With the scent of marijuana, Burman had probable cause which prompted a vehicle search.  Trooper Burman uncovered marijuana (less than 2 ounces).  Additionally, drug paraphernalia was found in the vehicle.  Deidre Harvick and her passenger, Morgan Whorall, 23, of Bourbonnaiss, Illinois were both placed under arrest for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia and were warned on their speeding.  Harvick did have insurance and her vehicle was towed by Riley Wrecker Service and will be stored in Corrigan.  The scene was cleared by 2:30 pm.
