Landing Zone Class Well attended at Pedigo Park...
Ricky Taylor

LIVINGSTON, August 31, 2016 - Local first repsonders attended a very necessary and valuable landing zone safety class at Pedigo Park on Tuesday evening.  Julie Earley, RN Flight Nurse with PHi Air Medical spoke about scene safety and landing zone procedures for first responders and law enforcement.  After about a 25 minute presentation, PHi Med 1 from Conroe Base landed. Class attendees got to talk with the flight crew and look over the helicopter. These classes are very important for our local agencies to have on a regular basis. Thanks so much Julie for presenting this class and information.

Listed in no particular order are departments that were in attendance: Livingston VFD, Livingston PD, Polk County Sheriffs Dept, Americare EMS, Livingston Fire Marshal, Corrigan VFD, Scenic Loop VFD, Holiday Lake Estates VFD, South Polk County VFD, Goodrich VFD and Polk County Emergency Management Office.

Special thank you:  Ricky Taylor for the photographs and story.  Taylor is a Polk County First Responder, photographer, and all around good guy.
