Woman and 2 Young Daughters Terrorized In Their Own Home by Local Juvenile, LIVINGSTON, August 21, 2019 - On Saturday August 17, 2019 at approximately 7:10 A.M., Livingston Police Department Officers were met at the Police Department by a female with her children who was visibly upset. The female stated that she resides in Oak Forest Subdivision and had just escaped from a male intruder at her residence. Officers were advised by the female victim she "...woke up sometime between the hours of 3:00 A.M.-4:30 A.M. this morning with an unknown man inside" her residence. The victim reported to officers that the white male, was 5'10"- 6' approximately 230 pounds with brown hair. Officers recognized that the description provided by the victim was consistent with a 16 year old white male who was reported to the Livingston Police Department as a runaway the night before. The victim stated that during the time he was in her residence the male subject who was armed with a large kitchen knife restrained and threatened her by stating that if she did not comply with his demands he would harm her two daughters (both under the age of 13) who were both asleep in another room of the house. The male subject rummaged through the victim’s bedroom and where he physically assaulted the victim. The subject demanded that the victim to take him to a local ATM where he could withdraw money from her account. The victim stated she woke her daughters and told them to go to her vehicle which was parked in the drive way. Once the victim observed her daughters safely in the vehicle she distracted the male subject and fled the scene with her children. The victim drove to the Livingston Police Department with her children. The male subject was later positively identified through the investigation to be the reported runaway, 16 year old juvenile of Livingston, Texas The juvenile was located later this same date in the 2000 block of S. Houston St. and arrested for the offense of Assault, and Burglary of Habitation with Intent to Commit Felony (both felonies). The juvenile was transported by officers to the Livingston Police Department where Juvenile Authorities were contacted along with Judge Darrell Longino. Judge Longino held a detention hearing and ordered the juvenile detained in a juvenile detention facility. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges of Aggravated Kidnapping (felony) and two counts of Abandon / Endanger Child (felony) are expected to be filed within the week.
