Police Find Deceased Woman in Garner Motel, LIVINGSTON, August 2, 2022 - On Tuesday morning, August 2, 2022, the Livingston Police Department was dispatched to the Garner Motel located at 815 South Washington Avenue in reference to a deceased person that had been found in one of the rooms. Officers arrived on scene and located a single body in one of the rooms. The body had been there for an undetermined amount of time. Officers were able to positively identify the deceased as Sam Marie Sweaney, 51, of Livingston. Justice of the Peace, Robert "Dooley" Johnson was called to the scene and ordered an autopsy. A first call car from Cochran Funeral Home transported Sweaney from the scene. The death is currently under investigation by the Livingston Police Department pending the autopsy results.
