Bad Company. Police Nail 2 Ne'er Do Wells, LIVINGSTON, April 15, 2020 - On April 14th, 2020, the Livingston Police Department responded to 1500 block of West Church Street in reference to a Forgery. When Officers arrived they conducted a traffic stop on a 2020 Chevrolet truck. Officers identified the occupants in the vehicle as Elkin Neil Mesa, 29, of Houston, and Tyler Burges. The officers quickly established that Tyler Burges was actually JB McBride III, 23, of Livingston. Livingston Police Dispatch confirmed several outstanding Felony Warrants for McBride. When Officers confronted McBride about the warrants he fled on foot heading north into a field. Moments later officers located McBride in a near by wooded area at which time he was arrested. Officers conducted a pat search on McBride and located Methamphetamines. As the investigation continued, it was learned that Mesa also had a warrant for his arrest. Mesa was also taken into custody. A search of the 2020 Chevrolet truck turned up approximately 12 credit cards that had altered numbers and names. Officers also located additional Methamphetamines inside the vehicle. McBride was transported to CHI St. Lukes to be cleared prior to transport to the Polk County Jail while Mesa was transported to Polk County Jail without incident. While police were escorting McBride into the emergency room he attempted to escape again. Officers (assisted by medical staff) were able to prevent McBride from fleeing.
