LPD Catches Alleged Burglars Who Went on a Burglary Spree in Livingston, LIVINGSTON, February 21, 2014 - At approximately 3:33 am on February 20th, 2014, Livingston Police Officers were dispatched to Melbo’s convenience store located at 212 E Church Street in reference to a burglary alarm that had been activated. Officers arrived on the scene in less than three minutes and found that the business had been broken into. Sergeant Darrell Newman and Officer Dallas Early initiated a investigation into the burglary and contacted Livingston Police Department on call Detective Leon Middleton for assistance.

Officers were notified of an alarm at Livingston Pharmacy 714 West Church. Officers were advised that the owner was remote viewing the security cameras of the business and observed two individuals breaking into the business. The owner was able to give officers a general description of the two suspects. When the officers arrived the suspects had fled the area and officers were unable to locate them. The policemen continued their investigation of the burglaries and continued searching the area for the suspects.
During the search, detectives located a third business, Medicine Chest, 221 Eastwood Ave that appeared to have been broken into recently. Officers contacted the owner of the business who confirmed that this was a recent incident. Additionally Sergeant Lewis Milner, Officer Kaleb Barker, Officer Brandon Brewer and Detective Marty Drake were summoned to assist in the investigation.

Officers were dispatched to another possible burglary at Dollar General Store, 1207 N Washington Ave. The officers arrived to find that the front door had been broken out and the business had been burglarized. They determined that this burglary was committed by the same two suspects from the Livingston Pharmacy burglary and continued their investigation and search of the area.
6:40 A.M...
Officers were dispatched to the Senior's Country Store located at 1310 N Houston (again in reference to a burglary). As officers were searching the area, Officer Barker observed a suspicious male subject in a wooded area approximately one block from the Store who matched the description of one of the suspects from the burglaries. Officer Barker contacted Detectives Middleton and Drake who went to his location. The suspect was apprehended, and by questioning him, the officers learned the location of the stolen merchandise from several of the businesses. Additional officers continued to the Senior's Country Store where they located the second suspect (a female) who was now being held by employees and citizens at the Senior's Country Store.
Suspects Apprehended...
Both suspects; Aaron James Cumbie, 25 of Livingston, and his female companion, Eran Michelle Ebarra, 27, of Livingston, were taken into custody and charged with four counts of Burglary of a Building. They were later booked into the Polk County Jail. Additional reports are still coming and may result in more charges.
