Body of Livingston Man Found in Creek, LIVINGSTON, January 21, 2021 - At 9:16 am on January 21, 2021, Officers with the Livingston Police Department were dispatched to Long King Creek located in the 1800 block of US-190 West in reference to the body of a white male that had been found in the creek by a pedestrian walking over the brige. Officers arrived and located the victim in the creek deceased. Officers were able to identify the victim as David Alexander Canon, 38, of Livingston. Justice of the Peace, Robert "Dooley" Johnson performed an inquest at the scene. Canon was released to Cochran Funeral Home and transported to the Forensic Medical Management Services of Texas in Jefferson County for an autopsy. At this time, the cause of Canon's death remains under investigation by the Livingston Police Department.
