On media day, some family members show up to take pictures of their heroes.
On Saturday morning August 11, 2012, Head Coach Randy Rowe and his staff put the 2012 Livingston Lions Varsity football team on display for the local media. As it is every year at this event, it was hot outside, and, being nothing but men and a bunch of young football players poking around outside and posing for cameras, it's a clumsy, goofy affair to say the least. Nevertheless, Coach Rowe and his staff and players and us media guys managed to grind through the awkward annual occasion with about as much grace as Kurt Rambis with a basketball. At any rate, as usual, Rowe's players looked physically fit and, even though I asked them to smile, most chose to wear their game face for the cameras. These young guys! One day they'll look back at these pics and say, "Dang! I wish I would've smiled". I'm confident that this year's version will do well. Special thank you to Coach Rowe and his staff for their politeness, courtesy, and patience in dealing with annoying reporters.
