Lions Run Rough Shod on Huntington, LIVINGSTON, September 29, 2019 - On Friday night the Livingston Lions hosted the Huntington Red Devils and played well. Well enough to rack up 36 points while holding the Red Devils scoreless. The Lions' wildcatish offense of switching out running backs and quarterbacks, and keeping a nice blend of running and passing was more than the Huntington Defense could handle. On the flip side of the ball, the constant quarterback pressure from the Lion defense kept the Huntington Red Devils out of the endzone for the entire night. To add insult to injury for Huntington, in the last few minutes of the game, the Red Devils were in punt formation and the ball was over snapped. The ball sailed over and out of reach for the punter. The ball landed in the endzone and rolled out the back of the endzone (giving the Lions 2 more points due to a safety). Then, as per the rules, Huntington had to kick off to Livingston. As good as this game was for the Lions, there still mental errors that need to be dealt with, but this was a great game for the Lions and is just what they needed for a (hopefully) boost of confidence. Enjoy the highlight reel below.
