US Postal Service Recognizes Sheriff's Detective for Outstanding Work, LIVINGSTON, January 18, 2014 - On Friday morning (January 17, 2014) a US Postal inspector showed up at the Polk County Sheriff's Office give proper recognition to one of Sheriff Ken Hammack's detectives. Postal Inspector, Robert Williams brought a signed letter of recognition and appreciation for Detective, Christopher Lima for Lima's diligent work in May of 2013. In that month, Detective Lima used his investigative skills to help postal inspectors identify numerous victims which led to vital information and the apprehension of three suspects wanted on federal charges of bank fraud and aggravated identity theft. Polk County Sheriff, Ken Hammack presented Lima with the letter of appreciation that was signed and sent from the head federal postal inspector (Houston division). Lima humbly accepted the letter of appreciation in front of his superiors and other detectives.
Postal Inspector, Rober Williams (sitting with Lima) delivered the letter in person and remained on hand for the presentation.
