Public Menace Gets 20 Years Stacked on Top of 15 Years, LIVINGSTON, May 7, 2008 - According to Polk County Assistant District Attorney, Joe Martin, on May 6, 2008, Lee Andrew Henderson, 28, of Goodrich received 20 years stacked on top of 15 years for possession of cocaine in a drug free zone. The sentence was handed down by District Court 411th Judge, Robert H. Trapp. 20 years is the maximum that is allowed by law for the offense. Normally, this offense would be a 3rd degree felony, however, it was upgraded to a 2nd degree felony because of an April 2000 conviction for burglary of a habitation. Martin stated that on August 22, 2007, Henderson was driving down MLK Blvd. in Livingston and was pulled over for no seatbelt, a sheriff's deputy noticed a bag on the floor side where Henderson's girlfriend was and it contained a white powdery substance that was cocaine. Henderson's girlfriend admitted to having a baggy of pot and 4 rocks of crack cocaine hidden in her vagina. Henderson also had a pistol in his possession (convicted felons are not allowed to have guns), and approximately $1,000 cash. Henderson has quite a lengthy criminal record and many cases with prosecution still pending.
