27 year old Robert Tolleson, of Livingston, was driving this 2013 Dodge Dart (left vehicle) when he allegedly rammed his girlfriend's 2012 Ford Escape in the parking lot of the Polk County Sheriff's Office.
Man Becomes Irrational in Dispute With His Girlfriend, Rams Her Vehicle With His Vehicle in Parking Lot of Sheriff's Office, LIVINGSTON, October 30, 2017 - At approximately midnight on October 30, 2017, Robert Tolleson (a prison guard at TDC Polunsky Unit), 27, of Livingston, was allegedly at Walmart in Livingston and had a dispute with his girlfriend (they were in separate vehicles). The dispute escalated and she drove to the Polk County Sheriff's Office in her vehicle. Tolleson pursued her and caught up to her in the parking lot of the Sheriff's Office where he allegedly rammed into her vehicle (silver 2012 Ford Escape), with his vehicle (gray 2013 Dodge Dart). She pulled away from his vehicle in an effort to get away from him, but he rammed her vehicle again (into the driver's side). Tolleson then exited his vehicle and entered into the passenger's side of her vehicle where he began assaulting her with his fists. Off-duty Sheriff's Deputy, Teddy Sims and on-duty Sergeant, Craig Taylor drove to the scene and saw what was going on. Sims exited his vehicle and ran to the girlfriend's vehicle where he was able to pull Tolleson off of his girlfriend and out of the car. Sims pushed Tolleson to the ground where Tolleson was then cuffed and then loaded into a patrol unit. Deputies from the Sheriff's Office, State Troopers, and Livingston Police Department converged on the scene. Tolleson's girlfriend was transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with injuries. Robert Tolleson is probably facing multiple charges including assault with a deadly weapon (his car is legally a weapon when he rammed her car). Both vehicles were recovered by Ken's Towing. Tolleson's vehicle will be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston, the girlfriend's vehicle will be stored at Pollock's Body Shop in Livingston.
