Naked Woman In Parking Lot, GOODRICH, October 17, 2014 - Shortly before 12 noon on October 17, 2014, a call was placed to the Polk County Sheriff's Office regarding an unclothed young woman in the parking lot of Valero in Goodrich.  According to a witness at the scene, the woman walked in, stated to the store clerk that there were bugs in her clothes.  The woman then proceeded to remove all of her clothing.  She then stepped out of the store and sat on a bench out front.  The witness offered the naked woman a towel, but she refused stating that there was something in the towel.  Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Deputy Dustin Lowery with the Polk County Sheriff's Office.  Upon arrival, Deputy Lowery approached the woman and she refused to cooperate.  She stated to Lowery that she wanted to call her grandmother.  Lowery placed the call for her.  Sure enough, the woman's grandmother showed up.  In the meantime, the woman was being checked by EMS personnel from Americare.  According to medical personnel on the scene, the woman didn't appear to be under the influence of any drugs or alcohol.  Deputy Lowery agreed to let her grandmother drive her to the Burke Center for an evaluation.
