Law enforcement units converged on the parking lot of the Lighthouse Revival Center off N. Washington in Livingston.
Odd Situation in What Appeared to be a Vehicle Pursuit, LIVINGSTON, May 27, 2014 - At approximately 1 am on May 27, 2014, Deputy Terry Valka with the Polk County Sheriff's Office observed a white Chevy pickup that allegedly ran a red light in North Livingston.  Valka attempted to initiate a traffic stop, and the driver, Tanner Martin, of Livingston, appeared to attempt to flee rather than stop.  The alleged pursuit turned on C street (next to Harrison Body Shop) and proceeded to North Washington where the Martin made a left and headed south on N. Washington.  Other law enforcement officials nearby quickly joined in the "pursuit", including Livingston Police, Deputies from the Sheriff's Office, and units from the Texas Highway Patrol.  The truck finally stopped in the parking lot of the Lighthouse Revival Center (a short distance from the Polk County Sheriff's Office).  Making the situation even more strange, Martin appeared to be driving wearing only his underwear.  After a vehicle search, and lots of getting talked to, Martin was apparently issued citations and allowed to leave.

Tanner Martin was driving the pickup (pictured at center of photo).
In an odd twist to an odd situation, Martin appeared to be driving in only his underwear. Deputies gave Martin his clothes and allowed him to get dressed.
Martin's vehicle was searched.
