Hit and Run on 190, LIVINGSTON, January 30, 2008 - A 2008 white Chevrolet Silverado driven by Jerry York, 80, of Polk County was allegedly struck by a hit-and-run at approximately 8 pm on January 30, 2008.  "It could've been worse, it was almost a head-on.", York said.  York was west bound on 190 in the Spring Creek area by Gray road when the driver of the other vehicle, east bound allegedly swirved into York's lane and scraped the side of York's Silverado.  The impact disabled York's vehicle while the driver while the other vehicle fled the scene.  DPS Trooper Brent Henry was dispatched to the scene to investigate.  Harwood wrecker service arrived a short time later to tow York's truck.  Less than an hour later, the driver of the other vehicle (a female) driving a green truck was caught.  The suspect allegedly drove approximately 4 miles with one tire completely off, on the rim.
