Dreams do come true for two local sisters… Courtney and Kayla Hastings are official titleholders with the Dream Girls USA Program.In March, Courtney was crowned “Dream Girl USA East Texas Supreme Ambassador” and Kayla with crowned “Dream Girl USA East Texas Tiny Miss”. During the weekend events, Courtney placed first in Pre-Teen Miss Talent, third place Pre-Teen Miss overall Beauty and Second runner up in YAMI-Young American Miss International.Kayla place first in Photogenic and Portfolio and first runner up in YAMI- Young American Miss International.They have been chosen to represent their community and state as a positive role model at the National finals to be held at the beautiful Millennium Hotel in St. Louis Missouri in May. Courtney is 10 years old and is the founder of “Sweetie –n- Pies” fresh baked goods along with 4 year old Kayla as helper.The girls are selling fresh baked goods within the community and are ready to bake for You!Courtney is the planner, shopper, cooker, and seller with Kayla assisting. "Some of everything is made by us!" The “Hastings” girls are so excited about the accomplishments they have reached.“Though this pageant is seeking natural girls who are on the go and having fun as leaders and role models throughout their community, the girls have a great time. Their self-esteem, public speaking, and overall self-confidence has increased 1000%, " said Kim Hastings (mother of the beauty queens). "Each time the girls go to a pageant it is a “family event”….everyone goes. Some people may think of pageant in other ways, which I did, until I went to the first state pageant. What a family setting.The crowd was cheering for Everyone and even helped my sister sing her ABC song during talent”, said Courtney.But we need your help! Courtney and Kayla need help to complete their dream…
