Dazed dizzy and confused: Sergeant Leon Middleton doesn't know where to turn in the face of a stifling Go Getter defense.
Local Peace Officers No Match for Livingston Go Getters, LIVINGSTON, February 16, 2009 - With an unrelenting offense and a stingy defense that never lets up, the Livingston Go Getters trounced the Polk County Peace Officers 70 - 27 in a friendly game of basketball. DPS Trooper Brent Henry, Sergeant Leon Middleton and a surplus of deputies and policemen simply could not find a rythym on offense nor on defense and proved to be ill prepared for the offensive fire power of the Go Getters. The Go Getters are coached by Livingston Policeman Marty Drake. Drake showed no remorse for his comrades and the beating they took from his squad of high flying fast shooting stars from the Livingston Special Olympics. The crowd overwhelmingly favored the Go Getters and roared with approval every time they scored. When all was said and done, the Polk County Peace Officers knew that they needn't quit their day jobs but showed good sportsmanship in the face of utter defeat. A big thank you to the Peace Officers for facing such a formidable opponent and a big thanks to all who came out as a spectacular time was had by all. Congratulations to head coach Marty Drake and the Livingston Go Getters.
Right from the opening tip off, the Go Getters seized control and never let up.
The Go Getters high octane offense scored early, often, and at will.

Ca Ching!...The Go Getters were hitting baskets from everywhere.
Befuddled Peace Officers couldn't get their shoes right.
Go Getter fan and supporter Miss Polk County Shelby Gonzalez sits on the winners' bench.
Policemen (L - R) Kevin Ward, Ronnie Bogany and Darrell Newman came to cheer their comrades, but instead watched them take a woopin.
A team of winners. Marty Drake's squad was all smiles as they were hitting on all cylinders.
From beginning to end, both teams displayed great sportsmanship.
