Inseparable: 4 year old Addyson (left) and 5 year old Alexis lost their mother to a drunk driver a year ago.
DPS and MADD Team Up to Brighten Orphaned Sisters' Christmas, ONALASKA, December 22, 2015 - On the afternoon of December 21, 2015, Trooper Harold Estep, with the Texas Highway Patrol brought his wife and two children to Polk County. They were on a mission to visit two young sisters who are less fortunate. Estep was joined by Trooper Chris Cain. They visited 4 year old Addyson and 5 year old Alexis. Their mission was to deliver gifts. The sisters' mother, Gina, was killed by a drunk driver at the young age of 28. The girls are being cared for by their grandmother. According to their grandmother, through the hardship, the girls have bonded and are nearly inseparable. The girls are both quiet and somewhat shy after all they've been through. By the time that the Troopers left, there was hardly a dry eye. Please enjoy the pictures and video below.
