Gabriel Jordan Falls Victim to Brazen Vandalism and Thievery, LIVINGSTON, June 20, 2009 - According to Captain Ricky Childers of the Polk County Sheriff's Office, sometime in the middle of the night (June 19/20), vandals brazenly had a field day at the Gabriel Jordan Ford Dealership on US-59 North just south of downtown Livingston. The vandals busted out the windows of at least 10 vehicles, one was a Polk County Sheriff's Office patrol car that was at the dealership to be serviced. The thieves stole stereo/CD players, a tool box, a surveillance camera (from the patrol car), four 20" tires with rims and wreaked vandalism all over the car lot from front to back. Mike Nettles was the first deputy on the scene when the crime was discovered. In a bold and defiant statement, one of the vandals scraped "You been jack" on the front fender of a brand new Ford F-350 truck. The vandals took jacks from vehicles and used them to jack up other vehicles to do their dirty deeds. Sheriff Hammack, Captain Ricky Childers, Detective Brent Foster, and Nettles were all investigating the spread out seemingly random destruction. Many windows were busted out. Most of the damage was done to trucks. Sheriff Hammack stated to PolkCountyToday.com that evidence has and is being collected and an investigation is under way.
Polk County Crime Stopperswill pay up to $2,000 cash for information leading to the person(s)responsbile for this crime.
The vandals even ransacked this patrol car.
