Freak Accident Takes Life of Young Boy, LIVINGSTON, January 13, 2013 - A freak accident at a local church took the life of a 13 year old boy Thursday (January 10, 2013). Fransisco Emanuel Mendez, 13, of Livingston, was at St. Joseph's Catholic Church (off US-190 West in Livingston). According to witnesses, the child was practicing dancing and slipped on stage. His head struck the corner of a table. Mendez was knocked unconscious. Friends tried to wake him but couldn't. Mendez was rushed to Livingston Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
