The house located at 885 Sandy Lane (off FM-62 in Moscow) was just completed in December of 2012. The fire was initially small, but spread quickly.
Fire Totals New Home, MOSCOW, December 8, 2013 - Shortly after midnight on December 8, 2013, a house fire was reported from Moscow. The home (located at 885 Sandy Lane) was completed one year ago this month and was owned by Misty Moody of Corrigan. Sergeant Lee Rogers with the Polk County Sheriff's Office arrived on the scene and walked into the house. Rogers radioed back that there was visible smoke, but no visible flames coming from around the chimney area. Corrigan volunteer fire department was dispatched, but they quickly realized that the fire was spreading rapidly. Livingston VFD arrive trucks and men. The blaze was stubborn and took nearly an hour to put out. Fortunately, nobody was injured in the blaze.
