A small wooden home located at 487 Lucille in the Subdivison of Indian Springs was totaled.
Fire Totals Home, INDIAN SPRINGS, November 12, 2011 - At approximately 7 pm on November 12, 2011, a neighbor reported a house fire in the subdivision of Indian Springs. The fire was located at a small house at 487 Lucille Road. Indians Springs Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the scene along with Deputies Jacob Chapman and Corporal Lee Rogers (both the with Polk County Sheriff's Office). According to Indian Springs Assistant Fire Chief, Jerry Lusczki, when they arrived the house was fully involved, and they were able to contain the fire in about 7 minutes. The fire quickly consumed the small wooden home. The owner of the home is reportedly an elderly man who wasn't home at the time of the fire. After a preliminary investigation by the Polk County Sheriff's Office, the cas was turned over to Polk County Fire Marshal, Jay Barbee. At time of press, the man's name who owned the home is not known to PolkCountyToday.com.
