Fire Destroys 3 Story Home, LIVINGSTON, November 11, 2015 - At approximately 4:05 pm on November 11, 2015, a house fire was reported to the Polk County Sheriff's Office. Firemen from Livingston Volunteer Fire Department arrived at a home in the 689 block of Kate Lowe Road (Kate Lowe Road is off FM-350 South) to find a three story home engulfed in flames. Soon firemen from Scenic Loop, Onalaska, Goodrich and Alabama Coushatta VFDs also arrived to assist. Additionally, Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched and representatives from SHECO. The home was totaled by the fire. The house was owned by Ronald Trotti, of Livingston and was occupied by Edward Simons, 52, of Livingston. The home was not insured. Fortunately, nobody was injured in the incident. Deputy Teddy Sims and Corporal Mark Dubose with the Polk County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to conduct a preliminary investigation. It is not yet known what caused the fire.
