A forest fire off Galloway road was extinguished by Livingston VFD early Sunday afternoon.
Forest Fire Extinguished off Galloway Road, LIVINGSTON, October 18, 2015 - At approximately 2 pm on October 18, 2015, Livingston, Onalaska South Polk County, Scenic Loop, and Holiday Lake Estates VFDs were dispatched to a wooded are off Galloway Road (near US-146 and FM-1988).  A forest fire had started that is believed to have been ignited by a resident burning trash in spite of county wide burn ban.  Additionally, the Texas Forest Service was dispatched.  Firemen were able to extinguish the fire, but a sizeable portion of forest was torched.  Nobody was injured in the incident.

Livingston fireman, Brian Jones was happy to get the blaze under control and extinguished.
