Livingston VFD Acts Quickly, Saves Home, LIVINGSTON, October 18, 2015 - Shortly after 5 pm on October 17, 2015, a house fire was reported to the Livingston Police Department. Fire trucks from Livingston Volunteer Fire Department arrived on the scene as heavy smoke was coming from the house. Additionally, Americare Ambulance Service and Officers Kaleb Barker, Brandon Brewer, Tito Reyes, and Sergeant Lewis Milner (all with Livingston PD) were dispatched. The firemen were able to save the home, but the home did sustain damage from fire, smoke, and water. The occupants of the home were renters. Nobody was injured in the incident. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. It is not known to PolkCountyToday.com whether or not the owner of the home has insurance.
