Livingston Volunteer Fire Department Saves Another House, LIVINGSTON, September 17, 2008 - At approximately 12 noon, a house fire was reported at 601 Dogwood in Livingston on September 17, 2008. Livingston Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the scene. Chief Corky Cochran arrived with a crew of firemen including Assistant Chief John Haynes and 3 fire engines. Also at the scene was Livingston Fire Marshall Mark Taylor. The fire started in a bedroom of the two story home and burned a bed and walls of the room causing moderate damage. Smoldering and burnt furniture was removed from the house as firemen were able to quickly extinguish the flames. Home owner Mark Bush stated that he didn't know how the fire started. The house was filled with smoke from the fire and powerful fans were brought in to air the house out. The fire was out and air cleared by 12:30. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
