Fire Burns Down Mobile Home, LIVINGSTON, September 9, 2011 - At Approximately 2:30 pm on September 9, 2011, a 911 call was placed to the Polk County Sheriffs Office about a mobile home fire located at 3873 Old Israel Road. The Livingston Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the scene along with Polk County Sheriffs Deputies Terry White and Jeremy Allen. According to a witness, the smoke from the fire could be seen from downtown Livingston. The fire totaled the mobile home, a vehicle, and some of the surrounding property. No one was injured during the incident. The owner of the home was Shaun Card, he was out of town at the time of the fire. Polk County Fire Marshall Jay Barbee arrived a short time later to investigate the fire. Insurance on the home and vehicle is unknown. At time of press, the exact cause of the fire is under investigation by Fire Marshall Jay Barbee. The fire was out by 3:20 pm.
