Volunteer Firemen from Scenic Loop finish off flames that had the building fully engulfed minutes earlier.
2 Story Structure on Lake Livingston Burns, SCENIC LOOP, August 15, 2010 - Shortly before midnight on August 14, 2010 a structure fire was reported. The Scenic Loop Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to 790 Cedar Lane in the subdivision of Penwaugh Pines off of FM-3126. Reports that the building was fully involved drew additional attention from the Onalaska and Livingston VFDs who showed up to support Scenic Loop Fire Dept. The building appeared to be a garage with attached living quarters. The owners of the home also kept ammunition in the building that began to explode and sounded similar to fireworks when lighting a bunch at one time. Fire trucks lined the narrow road leading up to the building. The building sustained heavy interior damage and may be structurally unsafe. The cause of the fire is under investigation. The fire was extinguished before 1 am.
