Firemen use saws to cut holes into a burnin warehouse near Camden .
Fire Destroys Large Warehouse, Owner Receives Burns on Face, Arms and Hands, CAMDEN, August 8, 2013 - Shortly after 9 pm on August 7, 2013, a large structure fire was reported from Big Sandy Lane (off FM-62) near Camden.  Volunteer fire departments from Corrigan, Livingston, Onalaska, Scenic Loop, Alabama Coushatta, and Diboll responded to find a large warehouse burning out of control.  The owner, Keith Cater (brother of Rowdy Rodney) was reportedly working on a jet boat when it blew up causing Cater severe and extensive burns on his hands, arms, and face.  Cater was transported by private vehicle to Livingston Memorial Hospital.  A helicopter was summoned and Cater was flown to Galveston.  Cater reportedly had many belongings in the buiding including two race cars, two jet boats, several 4 wheelers, a fifth wheel travel trailer, a 60's model camaro, a Chrysler sedan, and two offices upstairs.  All were reportedly totaled in the fire. Firemen used saws to cut holes through the large roll up doors and gain entry to the building.  It is not known to PolkCountyToday.com how much of Cater's property (if any) was insured.
