Forest Fire Comes Right up to House, Firemen Save the Day, CAMDEN, July 14, 2022 - At approximately 5:30 pm on July 14, 2022, a forest fire was reported off FM-62 that was possibly started by trash burning. Volunteer Fire Departments from Corrigan, Livingston, Alabama Coushatta, and Indian Springs were dispatched to the scene and were able to extinguish the flames before the flames could consume a house. Additionally, Deputies from the Polk County Sheriff's Office, a State Trooper, and the Texas Forest Service were dispatched to the scene. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
