Restaurant Burns off FM-2457, SCENIC LOOP, June 26, 2017 - Shortly after 5 am on June 26, 2017, volunteer firemen from Scenic Loop and Livingston were dispatched to LeBlanc's Cajun Kitchen located at 4148 FM-2457 to find the back half (kitchen area) of the restaurant burning. Firemen were able to extinguish the blaze, but the back half of the building burned to the ground. Deputies from the Polk County Sheriff's Office were on the scene to initiate a preliminary investigation. Additionally, a crew from Sam Houston Electric Cooperative were on hand to deal with electrical issues. The restaurant is owned by Terry and Glynda LeBlanc of Livingston. Fortunately, nobody was injured in the incident. It is not known to PolkCountyToday.com whether or not the business was insured. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
