Livingston Fire Department Saves 2 Story Home, BEECH CREEK, May 16, 2018 - At approximately 6:35 pm on May 16, 2018, Livingston Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire located at 236 Glover Road in the Beech Creek Subdivision.  Firemen arrived to find heavy smoke billowing from the second floor windows of the two story home.  Livingston Fire Department was soon backed up by the Alabama Coushatta Fire Department.  The firemen were able to get the fire out, but the second floor of the home sustained heavy fire, smoke and water damage.  Deputy William "Big Country" Land, with the Polk County Sheriff's Office, was dispatched to investigate.  Fortunately, nobody was injured during the incident.  The home is occupied by Teresa Lynn Wallis, 62, of Livingston.  Wallis does not have home owner's insurance.  The cause of the fire is not yet known, but remains under investigation.
